About Us
Sa’Ke Film Group (SFG) is an independent entertainment company based on the island of O’ahu. We are creatively driven and seek to tell unique stories and push bold ideas through narrative, experimental, and documentary filmmaking.
Our business paradigm strives to promote individuality and creative freedom within our projects in order to create audiences around films, rather than films around audiences.
SFG encompasses 2 separate production companies: Mānana Productions and Focused Intensity Productions.
Partnership with the University of Hawai’i Manoa
Sa’Ke Film Group is currently partnered with UH Manoa’s Academy of Creative Media (ACM) to offer internships to burgeoning filmmakers who are interested in hands on experience in film production.
Sa’Ke Film Group also partners with UH Manoa’s Theater Department to offer independent study courses to Theater majors and minors who want to gain experience in set and wardrobe design as well as writing for various projects.
Partnership with Shediculous Productions
Shediculous Productions was created by Alexandria Livingston and Dan Paul Roberts as a way to create innovative and inspiring films and TV as a means of fastening advocacy within and for our local LGBTQ+ community.
The Sweet Spot with Candi Shell was launched to highlight local drag -and trans- talent. The Candi Lands Trilogy quickly followed and was launched a visionary perspective on LGBTQ+ art.
Sa’Ke Film Group has partnered with Shediculous Productions in order to help spread and support the artistic influence and importance this company has to offer.
