What People Are Saying about working with us!

"I loved volunteering for Sa'Ke because when I was on set it never felt like a hierarchy, it felt like family. No one was too big or too small to fit on the ladder or learn from someone else. It was the perfect place to begin my journey into an industry shrouded in intimidation."

—  Jordan Jackson, Academy of Creative Media, University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, Student Intern

"I thoroughly enjoyed working with Sa'ke because not once did I ever feel negative energy towards me. They were completely supportive and encouraging. I could feel their objective, which was to complete their creative vision, and understood everything they said was to bring that to life in the most positive ways"

— Cullen Koshimuzu, actor on Cosmic Laundry

"It was so great working with [Sa'Ke]. Thank you for the opportunity, and it was so easy to hop right into the crew and sync. We're excited for future projects together!"

— Crystal Somoza, crew on Cosmic Laundry

"I enjoy volunteering for Sa'Ke because I love supporting local film makers and bringing their visions to life. The level of creativity is truly inspiring!"

— Angel DeVida, actress on Dungeons & Drag Queens and The Sweet Spot with Candi Shell

"I like acting with Sa'Ke because as an actor, they give me the room to make my choices while giving me feedback to ensure that I do right by my character."

— Romyn Sabatchi, actor Impact and Cosmic Laundry

"I LOVE working with Sa'Ke because everyone is so welcoming and open to new ideas. They made me feel so comfortable on set and it truly feels like I'm part of a family with Sa'Ke!"

— Joey Hightower, actor on Residue and Cosmic Laundry

"During the recording of the Afterparty helmed by the brilliant Sandy Livingston and sprinkled with the infectious humor of drag queen Miss Candi Shell, I felt truly at home - continuing to give my puppet characters a vivacious soul while supporting a noble cause. I was reminded of why I became a puppeteer in the first place."

— Dane Neves, local award-winning filmmaker and puppeteer
